Duties And Responsibilities
- Managing programming and events from large-scale conferences to lunch event series to meetings in compliance with University and Law School policies and procedures, including event logistics such as room scheduling, catering and transportation logistics, and related purchasing. Specific programs include: the Consumer Antitrust Studies student fellowship program and monthly lunch series, and the annual Loyola Antitrust and Constitutional Law Colloquia.
- Providing course management, exam, and related accommodation support. This requires proactive communication with faculty, the Law School Office of Student Services, and the Law School Instructional Design Team.
- Preparing basic budgetary requests, purchasing orders, office supply purchases, and reimbursements in compliance with University and Law School policies and procedures.
- Providing administrative support for committees, journals, and related programming.
- Managing communications, including maintaining databases and mailing lists, supervising the production and distribution of reports, newsletters, and other publications, communicating with students, faculty, alumni, and advisory boards, and assisting with mail distribution.
- Maintaining records, photocopying, and filing documents and materials in compliance with FERPA and other legal requirements, University and Law School policy, and ABA standards.
- Preparing and/or proofreading memos, letters, and journal articles for publication, as directed.
- Directing the work of and serving as a resource to student workers.
- Assessing administrative support needs and proactively suggesting improvements, as needed.
- Proactively assisting faculty and administrators, backing up to provide support across the Law School, and performing other duties as assigned.
Institute for Consumer Antitrust Studies – Additional Responsibilities
- Supporting the day-to-day operations of the Institute for Consumer Antitrust Studies.
- Serving as a first point of contact for the Institute, Antitrust student fellows, and students completing the Competition and Consumer Protesting Law Certificate Program on student affairs matters.
- Coordinating student orientation programming, meeting with students pursuing certificates, and tracking of requirements.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
High school diploma or equivalent and one to three years of relevant experience; some positions may require additional experience.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent, and at least two to three years of related experience.
- Event planning experience desirable.
- Strong customer-service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience administering or coordinating programs in an academic setting or not-for-profit setting.
Certificates/Credentials/Licenses
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
Computer Skills
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
- Ability to learn University and Law School-specific programs and software including Sakai learning software.
