Administrative Assistant - Farmington area

We have a temp-to-hire opportunity with a welcoming and professional office in the Farmington area. If you're detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and ready to dive into a hands-on administrative role—this could be your next step!
- Pay: $20 – $21 per hour
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Location: On-site (Farmington, CT)
Key Responsibilities
This role requires a proactive individual who is comfortable spending 75–80% of the time on typing-intensive tasks.
Core Duties (Primarily Word-based document work):
- Creating and editing technical documents using Microsoft Word
- Outlining, headers/footers, section/page breaks, and inserting/editing tables of contents
- Ensuring accuracy in spelling, grammar, and formatting
- Assembling reports, correspondence, bulletins, and meeting materials
- Managing schedules and travel arrangements
- Processing mail, answering phones, and greeting visitors
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and updating the company’s Outlook Rolodex
- Data entry into internal databases
- Weekly and monthly ordering (supplies, lunches, etc.)
- Coordinating lunch & learns and small office events
Occasional Tasks:
- Cross-departmental support as needed
- Assisting with larger group events (set-up/clean-up)
