Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey. Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.

Overview

This position coordinates between PE III, BTD, NJ Marketing with performance reviews, operation reports, and rail car issues. Assist PE III operations staff in departmental reports, benchmarks, budgets and other special issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree relevant to the department or High School Graduate or Equivalent with 2 yrs. Clerical experience is required.
  2. Valid Driver’s License
  3. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, preferred
  4. Knowledge of AS400, ERP WebSmart, preferred
  5. Type 50 WPM required

Training

Additional training is available after hire.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Various receptionist duties.
  2. Prepare and assist with various departmental reports including daily production report and monthly report.
  3. Assist Engineers with monthly reports.
  4. Scan documents as requested.
  5. Assist with department correspondence.
  6. Process and maintain invoices.
  7. Ensure to balance out overload/overweight cars in timely manner.
  8. Make adjustments for topped off partial railcars on request by Day Supervisor.
  9. Coordinate with Technical and follow up on with railcar resamples and expedite grading.
  10. Follow up sales returned cars with re-weight and inspection.
  11. Follow up on hold cars in timely manner.
  12. Maintain filing system.
  13. Understand and perform the units job duties in information and data areas.
  14. Coordinate daily activities with other units as needed.
  15. Procure purchasing and contracting services as needed.
  16. Clean silo and make adjustments, to ensure that it accurately reflects the AS400 versus the DCS silo information.
  17. Purchase office and Operation supplies as needed.
  18. Adhere to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to ISO, personnel, quality, environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  19. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  20. Comply with NTG (Nothing Touching the Ground) requirements.
  21. Be active in Operation Clean Sweep, and ensure employees are aware of and accountable for pellet loss prevention, containment, cleanup and disposal.
  22. Perform other duties as assigned.
