UFP Transportation is hiring a full-time, motivated, and dependable Class A CDL driver with a clean driver record for our Hillsboro, TX 75212 location. You will play a key role in keeping UFP’s commitment to exceed customer expectations delivering cargo safely and efficiently.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Drive Home DAILY routes. This position posted out of Grandview to backfill. This will be Monday through Wednesday - regular UFP loads and on Thursday/Friday this driver would deliver Hardie loads, meaning they will need to be comfortable unloading the truck using a forklift.
  2. Forklift Experience.
  3. Operate commercial vehicles up to 80,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight.
  4. Complete required driving log on highly developed ELD system.
  5. Completes pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all equipment.
  6. Secure loads and/or inspect loads to ensure proper securement.
  7. Performs duties consistent with all applicable safety, DOT, and Company rules and regulations.
  8. Maintains appropriate driving records, logs, and shipping documents as required.
  9. Verifies shipping documents for accuracy, and obtains customer’s signature on paperwork upon delivery.
  10. Completes training as required by management.
  11. Tarping of loads.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be 21 years of age.
  2. Must have valid and current Commercial Driver’s License.
  3. Minimum 12th grade basic education completed.
  4. Minimum 1 year of experience driving a commercial vehicle up to 26,000 lbs.
  5. Must not have any DOT recordable accidents in the past three years.
  6. Must be able to pass a physical examination (DOT required). Position includes lifting (up to 25 lbs), pushing/pulling, twisting, standing, walking, bending at the waist, handling of material.
