Overview
Under supervision of the Construction Manager, employees will perform a variety of rigorous physical tasks outdoors in all types of weather in support of cleanup of contaminated soils near Neihart, Montana.
Work may include constructing haul roads and installing bridges; expanding and capping on-site repositories; excavating and hauling contaminated materials from stream channels and/or residential, commercial or private properties and backfilling/restoring properties to the existing state.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive and operate a 2k water truck and possibly 12-14 yd tandem- or tri-axle dump trucks.
- Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
Basic Qualifications
- Must live within daily commute of Neihart, MT.
- Properly licensed to drive dump and water trucks on public roadways.
- Able to work outside in all types of weather.
- Minimum 3 years' experience with previous construction and/or environmental project work preferred.
- Requires physical strength, stamina, flexibility, and dexterity.
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
- Preferred OSHA HAZWOPER training; not required, training will be provided.
- A resume is preferred but not required when applying.
- Dependable transportation and cell phone service.
Work Schedule
- Work to be performed between March and November, weather dependent.
- Current schedule: Mon-Sat, 8.5 hours per day.
- Possible schedule change at client direction to Mon-Sat, 8.5 hours per day.
Physical Requirements
- Outdoor work in all types of weather; physical tasks typical of outdoor construction.
- Standing, walking, and lifting up to 35 lb; occasional climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching and handling as required.
