Northern Gear & Machining is hiring: Box Truck Driver in Muskego

Overview

Job Location: W160 S6609 Commerce Drive, Muskego, Wisconsin 53150.

This role is for an experienced Box Truck Driver to serve the Shipping and Receiving Department in a safe and timely manner.

Base pay range

$20.00/hr - $25.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Class B License
• Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants in Wisconsin and Northern Illinois using Company-owned box truck.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform general preventative maintenance.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with Company policies and procedures.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions/pack lists.
• Report defects, accidents, or violations.
• Assist in Shipping/Receiving Department when not on the road.

Skills

• Proven work experience as a truck driver.
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
• No recent moving or driving violations.
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.).
• Valid Driver License.
