Box Truck Driver Job at TOMRA in Town of Farmington

Company Description

TOMRA, an international recycling company, is looking for a Box Truck Driver to transport used beverage containers and store supplies in a safe and timely manner for our Farmington, NY location. (No CDL required!)

HOURS: Monday through Friday, 7:00a - 5:00p

PAY: $20.00/hr + overtime

Job Description

Operates a box truck that transports cargo to and from specified destinations:

• Prepares, receives, and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service.
• Loads, secures, and unloads cargo.
• Maintains radio or telephone contact with dispatcher to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up.
• Maintains logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Box Truck Driver.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Must have a satisfactory driving record.
• Familiarity with GPS devices.
• Ability to lift heavy packages, up to 50lbs.
• Availability to occasionally take weekend shifts.
• A polite and professional disposition.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g., at rush hour).
• A high school diploma.
