General Description

Drives multi-axle highway equipment with GVWR over 26,001 pounds to transport construction equipment and materials.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Operate and maneuver equipment to load, transport, and unload construction materials, following schedules and verifying material types and weights.
• Communicate effectively with other operators and drivers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain cleanliness and good working order of the truck, performing minor repairs as needed.

Essential Functions

• Coordinate controls to manipulate the truck bed accurately.
• Understand math and angles for proper dumping.
• Maintain sharp vision to be aware of surroundings.
• React quickly to signals.
• Physically able to climb, lift, and carry 15-30 pounds.
• Sit or drive about 70% of shift; stand or walk 30% during a 10-12 hour shift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid DOT physical and acceptable driving record.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Class “B” commercial license with proper endorsements.
• At least one year of prior experience with references.
