What You’ll Do
- Accurately complete delivery paperwork and coordinate with production, sales, and customers to communicate issues with loads and delivery times
- Maintain electronic or paper logs of working hours
- Work well with team members or independently; give and receive constructive feedback
- Operate with Electronic Logging Devices (ELD); driver will be trained accordingly
- Set up a sideboard kit around the trailer floor
- Perform daily Pre-Trip, Inter-Trip, and Post-Trip inspections
- Deliver products to customers, contractors, and job sites within the geographic region
- Ensure vehicle is properly loaded and load secured; deliver safely and timely
- Inventory and inspect goods to determine quantities and conditions
- Secure loads as needed (chains, tarping, etc.)
- Follow safety rules and wear PPE to prevent injuries
- Perform additional duties as needed
What You’ll Need
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License
- Successfully pass company road test; clean driving record
- Pass required DOT and CMC drug testing programs and physicals
- No excessive speeding violations (within 3 years)
- No on-road preventable accidents in the past 3 years
- No more than 1 moving violation in the past 3 years
- Ability to inspect vehicles for safety/operational defects using DOT checklists
- Knowledge of DOT regulations
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor/trailer experience (flatbed hauling preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 65 lbs
- Flexible schedule Monday–Friday, some overtime may be required
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Willingness to learn and tackle new challenges; effective listening and communication skills
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
Your Education
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
