Position Overview

In this role, you’ll drive company commercial vehicles including dump trucks, side or belly dumps, mixer trucks, tractor-trailers, water trucks, or low-boys to deliver equipment and materials to job sites and customers in the Butte & Anaconda areas.

Wage

$23.00 – $30.00+ /hr. DOE with potential for overtime. Work may include Davis Bacon Wages and Non-Davis Bacon Wages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate trucks delivering materials to construction and customer sites safely and efficiently, obeying laws and dispatch instructions.
  • Check delivery tickets for instructions, ensure proper loading, obtain signatures, and deliver materials as instructed.
  • Respond to customer questions regarding products and construction techniques.
  • Water roads and plant facilities to control dust.
  • Work with grading and paving crews, and assist with placing water for compaction.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, report issues, and perform minor repairs.
  • Ensure safety by climbing in and out of trucks properly and manipulating controls accurately.
  • Secure loads, monitor gauges, and investigate abnormalities during operation.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and record keeping in accordance with company policies.
  • Communicate with dispatch, ensure proper loading, and maintain work areas.
  • May operate additional equipment such as front-end loaders.
  • Perform general maintenance and safety checks.
  • Participate in a safe and inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid Class A or B CDL and current DOT medical card.
  • Safety-conscious with good performance, attendance, and punctuality.
  • Willing to work overtime as needed.
  • Good communication skills with supervisors and team members.
  • Ability to comply with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and other regulations.
  • Pass pre-employment physical and drug tests.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US or ability to obtain it.

Preferred Requirements

  • Class A CDL preferred.

Physical and Work Environment

Must be able to sit, climb, handle equipment, lift up to 75 lbs, and perform various physical tasks. Work includes outdoor conditions, exposure to weather, noise, and mechanical parts. Typical work hours are 8-12 hours/day, 5 days/week.
