Queen City Railroad Construction, Inc operates as a railroad construction contractor for building and repairing railroad tracks primarily in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and Southern regions of the United States
Job overview:
An ideal candidate would have working knowledge and experience with transporting heavy equipment
Responsibilities:
The transport driver will be hauling heavy construction/ railroad equipment to various jobsites
Loading and unloading various types of heavy construction/railroad equipment.
Perform pre trip and post trip inspection of trucks, trailer and equipment in accordance with Company policy and DOT regulations
Verifies transportation permits to ensure that specifications for overweight and oversize loads/ equipment are accurate
Follows all required safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
Ideally the candidate would have at least three years (3) years of work experience in hauling heavy construction equipment.
Class A CDL.
The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must have, or be able to obtain a DOT medical Card.
Weekly overtime and/or weekend workdays may be required
Knowledge of equipment operations and safety aspects of loading and unloading required
Lift/carry or push/pull equipment and other objects weighing up to 75 pounds
Must have a clean driving record
Pass a background check and drug screening
