Job Title: Delivery Truck Driver – CDL (Class A or B)

Location: Midlothian, VA 23112

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused CDL Delivery Truck Driver to join our client's team. Our client is a wholesale and distributor of construction materials. This position involves operating a company truck with a typical weight capacity of 30,000–55,000 pounds (GVW) to deliver materials to commercial and residential customers. Starting wage is based on factors such as location, experience, training, and education. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a heavy-load truck for scheduled deliveries.
  • Ensure all materials are properly loaded, secured, and monitored throughout the route.
  • Complete and return all customer delivery paperwork promptly.
  • Collect, document, and securely handle customer payments when applicable.
  • Report material damage or customer issues to dispatch immediately.
  • Perform daily truck inspections (pre- and post-trip) and maintain equipment in good condition.
  • Seek guidance on non-routine matters from a supervisor.
  • Operate lift gates and electric pallet jacks as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of truck driving experience with a safe driving record.
  • Valid CDL (Class A or B) license.
  • Ability to operate manual transmission trucks.
  • Experience operating lift gates and electric pallet jacks.
  • Familiarity with both commercial and residential deliveries.
  • Willingness to travel and service all regional distribution centers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
