ABOUT THE POSITION

With over 430 retail stores worldwide, our associates are essential to our business. From ensuring product availability on the sales floor to creating eye-catching visual displays, addressing customer inquiries, and running an efficient checkout process, our associates create memorable customer experiences while supporting Columbia Sportswear Company’s mission of “Connecting Active People with Their Passions.”

As a Retail Associate, you will represent our Company, Brands, and products to consumers. You will serve customers and share product information to help them find suitable products. Retail Associates support product flow into the store and onto the sales floor to ensure accessibility and representation. You will contribute to store profitability through accurate and efficient processes and assist the Store Leadership in supporting our mission.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

• Maintain store cleanliness, visual merchandising, and safety standards; restock merchandise from inventory.
• Perform cash register transactions accurately; connect customers to loyalty programs.
• Help the store's profitability by processing incoming and outgoing products efficiently.
• Assist customers by answering questions about products, features, and availability; understand their needs and aid in buying decisions. Support company values and teamwork.
• Acquire knowledge about products, policies, and procedures to execute daily operations effectively.

YOU HAVE

• No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred)
• Up to 2 years of experience in a relevant role
• Experience in customer service and retail
• Skills operating inventory and POS systems and retail software
• 16 years of age or older

JOB CONDITIONS

• Active environment, requiring constant movement and physical effort (lifting up to 40 lbs.), exposure to dust and noise.
• Occasional work in different locations.
• Ability to communicate clearly.
• Flexible schedule, adaptable to seasonal and business needs, complying with laws.
