Position Title: Retail Associate

Reports to: Retail Supervisor(s), Assistant Retail Operations Manager, and Retail Operations Manager

Responsibilities

  1. Fulfill guest’s needs quickly and efficiently.
  2. Inform retail leadership in a timely manner when item quantities are low or special requests arise, working with the warehouse team to pull & fill items as necessary.
  3. Relay relevant comments received from customers directly to supervisor.
  4. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  5. Uphold company policies and procedures.
  6. Perform the steps of SSA EXTRA Guest Service to ensure a memorable experience for every guest and client.
  7. Check and stock supplies in counter area, floor display, floor stands, and cabinets neatly, accurately, and in a timely fashion.
  8. Clean tables, chairs, and equipment as needed.
  9. Keep counter and floor in work or service area clean and free of debris.
  10. Maintain a balanced cash drawer as assigned.
  11. Perform other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
  12. Merchandise product to maximize sales.
  13. Increase sales through promotional items or suggestive selling.
  14. Support unit in being an example for Company & Client guidelines regarding Sustainability/Conservation efforts.
  15. Support SSA / Unit in driving community efforts through hiring initiatives, engagement activities, and focus on opportunities for giving back.

Job Requirements

  1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  2. Thrive in a team environment while having the ability to work independently and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Demonstrated ability to understand and implement written and verbal instructions.
  4. Basic computer knowledge and skill level in POS systems and Excel.
  5. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes (10-35lbs) as necessary for operation.
  6. Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Previous Experience

None required. All education backgrounds eligible.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly, Non-Exempt. Pay is based on range in consideration of relevant job experience and certification/education.
