ABOUT THE POSITION

With over 430 retail stores worldwide, our associates are essential to our business. From ensuring product availability on the sales floor to creating eye-catching visual displays, addressing customer inquiries, and running an efficient checkout process, our associates create memorable customer experiences while supporting Columbia Sportswear Company’s mission of “Connecting Active People with Their Passions.”

As a Retail Associate, you will represent our Company, Brands, and products to our consumers. You will serve customers, share product information, and help them find products that meet their needs. Retail Associates support the flow of products into the store and onto the sales floor to ensure product representation and accessibility. You will contribute to store profitability through accurate and efficient process execution and assist the Store Leadership team in supporting our mission: "Connecting Active People with Their Passions."

• Maintain store and visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety standards; restock the sales floor from inventory.
• Perform cash register transactions (sales, returns, exchanges) accurately; promote loyalty programs.
• Support store profitability by accurately processing incoming and outgoing products.
• Assist customers by answering questions regarding product features, benefits, and availability; understand their needs and support buying decisions. Uphold Columbia’s values to enhance the customer experience and teamwork.
• Acquire knowledge about products, policies, procedures, and programs to execute daily operations.

• No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred)
• Up to 2 years of experience in retail or related fields
• Experience interacting with and serving customers
• Skill operating Inventory and Point of Sale (POS) systems and retail software
• 16 years of age or older

• Active environment requiring constant movement; may involve lifting items up to 40 lbs., using specialized equipment, and exposure to dust and noise.
• Occasional work in different locations.
• Clear communication skills.
• Flexible schedule availability, which may change seasonally and based on business needs, adhering to all laws.

Pay Range: $17.00 - $24.48
Expected Pay Range for Hire: $17.00 - $18.00
*Starting pay may vary based on experience and store location.*
