Essential Functions
- Understands that safety is the number one priority and practices safe behaviors in everything they do.
- Maintains a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment; keeps egress clear and reports unsafe conditions.
- Treats all Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; friendly and professional at all times; recognizes fellow Associates using company recognition programs.
- Assists Customers as needed, is register-trained, helps with merchandise, and answers questions politely and knowledgeably; greets Customers and thanks them at register transactions.
- Provides prompt responses to Customers; handles issues courteously and involves Store Leadership when needed.
- Represents and supports the Company brand at all times.
- Performs cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping), replenishes restroom supplies, and disinfects high-touch areas to maintain store cleanliness.
- Maintains professional appearance and adheres to the dress code.
- Performs daily sizing and recovery to ensure neat, clean, and organized store presentation.
- Expedites newly received merchandise to the sales floor and merchandises items per monthly presentation guidelines.
- Understands Loss Prevention Awareness program and merchandise protection standards.
- Safeguards confidential information, cash, and merchandise; demonstrates integrity and honesty as a Ross representative.
- Follows MOS policies, including MOS merchandise handling and disposal review with Store Leadership.
- Follows all cash handling policies and maintains accuracy with tenders.
- Demonstrates urgency to maximize productivity and follow Store best practices.

Qualifications And Special Skills Required
- Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative and pleasant manner.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Physical Requirements / ADA
- Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers and PCs.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of working time.
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop as required.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and other supplies.
- Associates who work Stockroom shifts: ability to regularly push, pull and lift more than 20 pounds.
