About the Organization In 1995 on an antique buying trip in England, we found a flag of the British royal family. This flag, in British terms, is known as the royal standard. We adopted this name, and our company, The Royal Standard, began. Since the founding of our company, we have tirelessly traveled throughout Europe and the world in search of inspiration to design unique accessories for you and your home. Our product mix ranges from fashion accessories to home decor and from holiday decorations to entertaining essentials for hosting the perfect gathering. Our products offer an uncompromising combination of exceptional quality with tremendous value. Our products combine classic elements with modern touches and are designed to enhance a wardrobe, complete a room or to become the perfect gift.
The Royal Standard opened its first retail store in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1998. A second and then a third store soon followed. During the years that ensued, we had numerous requests to wholesale our products. In 2009, we opened our first wholesale showroom in Atlanta. Today, we have 7 retail locations in Louisiana, Texas, and Alabama and wholesale showrooms in Dallas and Atlanta. Our products are available across the US in over 4,200 retail establishments.
Summary
The Royal Standard Retail Inventory Associate is responsible for receiving, organizing, and restocking inventory for The Royal Standard merchandise and supplies. The Retail Inventory Associate’s duties will take from 8 to 30 hours per week depending on the number of shipments received and the season.
Essential functions
- Counts all products and supplies
- Maintains and updates records of store inventory
- Receives store deliveries
- Retags product before restocking onto the sales floor
- Reports discrepancies or damages to Manager on Duty
- Responsible for unloading store merchandise, new supplies and storing them appropriately
- Restocks merchandise on sales floor
- Reorganizes stock room to accommodate additional inventory
- Ensures that the stockroom is clean and well organized and that all stored items are accounted for
- Utilizes TRS computer system to ensure inventory is accurate
- Assists in maintaining organization of stock on the sales floor
- Attends store meetings when required
- Other responsibilities as directed
