ABOUT THE POSITION

From ensuring product availability on the sales floor to creating eye-catching visual displays to addressing customer inquiries and running an efficient checkout process, our associates create memorable customer experiences while supporting Columbia Sportswear Company's mission of "Connecting Active People with Their Passions."

As a Retail Associate, you will represent our Company, Brands, and products to our consumers. You will serve consumers by sharing product information to help them find products that match their needs. Retail Associates support the flow of products into the store and onto the sales floor to ensure product representation and accessibility. You will contribute to store profitability through accurate and efficient process execution and support the Store Leadership team in our mission: "Connecting Active People with Their Passions."

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

• Maintain store and visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety standards; restock the sales floor from inventory.
• Perform cash register transactions (sales, returns, exchanges) accurately; connect consumers to loyalty programs.
• Contribute to store profitability by receiving and processing products efficiently.
• Respond to consumer questions regarding product features, benefits, and availability; understand their needs and assist with buying decisions. Support company values to enhance the customer experience and teamwork.
• Acquire necessary knowledge about products, policies, procedures, and programs for daily operations.

YOU HAVE

• No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred)
• Up to 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience interacting with and serving consumers
• Skill operating Inventory and Point of Sale (POS) systems and retail software tools
• Must be 16 years of age or older

JOB CONDITIONS

• Frequently active environment; may require moving items weighing up to 40 lbs., using specialized equipment, with exposure to dust and noise
• Occasional work in various locations
• Ability to communicate clearly
• Flexible schedule availability, which may change seasonally and based on business needs
