Data Analyst
Location: Remote (preference for candidates in the Eastern Time Zone)
Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Data Analyst

The Data Analyst leverages statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data mining techniques to generate actionable insights into business processes. This role works independently and partners directly with stakeholders to assess requirements, often tackling unstructured, ad-hoc requests with minimal guidance.
Responsibilities Include
- Analyze business data using SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Build dashboards based on complex SQL logic using tools such as Looker, Power BI, and Tableau.
- Develop SQL-based outputs using scripting languages like Python or Node.js.
- Aggregate and summarize data into Excel-based reports for end-user consumption.
- Automate Excel reports using ODBC connections.
- Manipulate and compare data sets using Python.
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards in Looker.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define reporting requirements.
- Work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Proactively identify, report, and assist in resolving data issues.
- Proven expertise in Looker and LookML for data visualization and exploration.
- Strong experience building data models and writing complex SQL queries.
- Experience working with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Clean, maintainable, and intuitive coding practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and work autonomously in a remote environment.
- Resourceful problem-solver with persistence in tackling challenging issues.
- Ability to recognize when to seek assistance for greater efficiency.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using Jira for task and project tracking.
- Strong time management skills and ability to balance multiple priorities effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field from an accredited university (or equivalent experience).
