About Us:

Acabonac Farms is a regenerative, direct-to-consumer farm based on Long Island, NY, dedicated to raising and delivering grass-fed and pasture-raised meats. We’re building proprietary, data-driven models to help us better forecast inventory and optimize pricing across our product portfolio.

The Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled individual (not an agency) to partner with us on a part-time basis. This role is critical to developing and maintaining our internal Google Cloud-based data pipeline and machine learning models.

You will work directly with the founder and analytics lead to improve our existing infrastructure and build out forecasting and pricing tools that power real-world decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain SQL-based forecasting datasets in BigQuery
• Design, train, and deploy ML models (e.g., XGBoost, TensorFlow) for demand forecasting and dynamic pricing
• Build and iterate on dashboards in Google Looker Studio for internal stakeholders
• Automate and monitor data pipelines and model retraining in Google Cloud Console
• Collaborate on model performance evaluation and profitability simulations

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Google Cloud Console, especially BigQuery, Vertex AI or custom ML models, and Looker Studio
• Strong Python skills, including experience with pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost, or TensorFlow
• Experience developing and interpreting inventory or pricing models preferred
• Strong communication skills — you’ll be a collaborative problem solver
• Must be an individual freelancer (not an agency or team)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with retail, eCommerce, or DTC inventory forecasting
• Familiarity with Shopify data models or Fivetran
• Understanding of price elasticity, margin optimization, or scenario simulations
