INTELLISWIFT INC is hiring: Data Analyst in San Jose

Day-to-Day Responsibilities of this Position and Description of Project:

1. Performs complex data analysis in support of ad-hoc and standing management or customer requests.
2. Develops programs, methodologies, and files for analyzing and presenting data.
3. Uses and supports database applications and analytical tools.
4. Evaluates data quality, applications, and functions.
5. Produces output and maintains operation.
6. Researches new data sources and analytical tools.
7. Contributes to new product development and improvements in product delivery and presentation.
8. Develops awareness of issues and events affecting the organization, department, and/or customer.
9. Uses timely and appropriate participation of users/customers in data collection and query systems.
10. Provides accurate interpretation of data, applying knowledge to evaluation, analysis, and interpretation.
11. Develops methodologies for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data products.
12. Creates insightful information from various data sources.
13. Works with management and/or customers to develop and understand product specifications.
14. Communicates regularly and effectively with team members, management, and customers.
15. Delivers data products in report/presentation format or verbally, adhering to specifications and timelines.
16. Identifies system or process problems and engages the team in problem-solving.
17. Facilitates communication and resolution of problems.

Qualifications:

1. Masters or PhD in a science such as mathematics, physics, engineering, statistics, data science, or related fields.
2. At least 3 years (PhD) or 5 years (Master) of experience in analytics or data science.
3. Strong technical skills in Python and SQL.
4. Solid empirical and analytical background through coursework or research.
5. Ability to combine quantitative and qualitative findings to generate insights.
6. Problem-solving skills with a constructively challenging approach.
7. Effective collaboration and communication skills.
8. BS/BA in a quantitative field with analytics experience or Master's degree in a similar field or MBA with analytics exposure.
9. Relevant work experience impacting business results and partner relationships.
10. Familiarity with tools such as Python, SQL, Spark/Scala, Hadoop, R, Excel, and Tableau.
11. Understanding of ecommerce business and trends.
12. Ability to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
13. Experience in data mining and quantitative analysis.
