Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Technical Data Analyst in Irvine, CA. About The Role: We are seeking an experienced Technical Data Analyst to support our investment and portfolio management teams. This role is responsible for analyzing complex financial datasets, ensuring data integrity, and delivering actionable insights that drive sound investment decisions. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills in data analysis, reporting, and risk assessment, combined with a deep understanding of financial markets and asset management. Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis: Analyze financial data related to asset management, including performance metrics, market trends, and investment strategies
• Reporting & Visualization: Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide real-time insights for portfolio managers and stakeholders
• Data Management: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across multiple data sources and platforms
• Risk Assessment: Identify, measure, and monitor risks associated with portfolios, providing data-driven insights for risk mitigation
• Collaboration: Partner with portfolio managers, analysts, and cross-functional teams to enable informed, data-backed decision-making
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of processes, methodologies, and analytical findings to ensure transparency and reproducibility
• Release Management: Support system release cycles by preparing release notes, collaborating with technical teams, and validating data-related changes
• Optimization: Provide recommendations to improve portfolio performance, data workflows, and reporting efficiency
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field (Master's preferred)
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst in asset management, financial services, or investment management
• Strong proficiency in SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Familiarity with portfolio analytics, performance measurement, and risk management concepts
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience with release management or working in agile environments is a plus
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
