Job Title: Data Quality Analyst

Location: Hybrid – Chicago, IL

Salary Range: $85,000 – $95,000

Job Summary

We are looking for a Data Quality Analyst to join the Data Insights & Analytics team in Chicago. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and passionate about ensuring data accuracy and integrity. This role involves maintaining high-quality data standards, supporting metadata and data governance initiatives, and working cross-functionally with teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Governance & Compliance: Support data governance frameworks and ensure data compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
• Support Data Standards: Maintain and enhance data quality rules and metadata standards to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Quality Assurance Testing: Perform data validation, quality assurance, and root cause analysis on recurring issues to improve data integrity.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Liaise with data producers and consumers across departments to resolve discrepancies and optimize data quality.
• Metadata & Lineage Management: Use metadata management tools to update repositories and document data lineage from source to target systems.
• Project Support: Participate in data migration and integration projects by implementing quality checks and working with IT and engineering teams.
• Process Improvement: Recommend enhancements to data pipelines and support the development of automated data quality checks.
  
  

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Experience: 3+ years in a hands-on data quality or data analyst role.
• Skills:
• Proficient with SQL and metadata standards.
• Experience with Profisee or other Master Data Management tools.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent documentation and technical writing capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with Python for data analysis.
• Other: Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of data governance frameworks
• Experience with ETL processes, data integration, and profiling tools.
• Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
