About the Role:

The Senior Business Data Analyst is responsible for accurately defining and executing risk-related data requirements in alignment with data governance policies and standards. Reporting to the Enterprise Risk Data Layer Lead, this role is integral to the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Data & Technology team. The primary responsibilities include identifying data quality gaps, collaborating with ERM data consumers to address remediation challenges, documenting data flows, processes, and procedures, and ensuring the effective implementation of data requirements to mitigate risk.

Responsibilities:

  1. Drive the execution of key aspects of data governance policy and data strategy.
  2. Collaborate with data consumers to address critical data quality challenges and implement the data operating model to mitigate data risk.
  3. Remediate issues by partnering with various business and technology functions.
  4. Lead the consolidation of information about data and ensure a sustainable understanding of data flows through operational and analytic platforms.
  5. Partner with business data owners to maintain key artifacts and enhance overall data quality.
  6. Collaborate with colleagues across businesses and technology teams to assess the current state of information infrastructure.
  7. Lead initiatives to reduce data management risks and promote active data management and ownership.
  8. Identify data quality vulnerabilities and develop strategies to improve data quality controls using approved tools and solutions.
  9. Create and maintain data and system flow documentation and process maps.
  10. Manage change management processes related to data and system flow documentation and data governance procedures.
  11. Identify opportunities to streamline data transformation initiatives and capabilities.
  12. Act as a trusted advisor to regional teams and business staff members.
  13. Prepare and present status updates and solutions to stakeholders, business partners, and technology teams.

Education Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Data Science, Information Management, or related field.

Required Skill:

  1. Thorough understanding of risk processes, systems, and reporting.
  2. Knowledge of the Data Operating Model.
  3. Strong data analysis skill.
  4. Excellent presentation and communication skill.
  5. Ability to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.
  6. Experience in data governance and data quality management.
  7. Proficiency in creating data and system flow documentation.
  8. Change management experience related to data governance procedures.
  9. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  10. Strong problem-solving skill.
  11. Ability to simplify complex information for various stakeholders.
