Job Title: Senior Data Analyst with State client experience
Location: REMOTE
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Required experience: 10+ Years
Required Certification: CDMP or IIBA certification
Required skills: Data Analysis, Master Data Management (MDM), Python, SQL, R, Jira, data governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, or Informatica, APIs, ETL pipelines
Experience working with data or systems within with New York City agencies/State client/Government client/Public Sector experience.
Job Description:
Mandatory Skills/Experience:
- 10+ years of experience of data query and analysis using SQL, Python or R.
- Direct experience working with government agencies to profile undocumented data sources.
- Direct experience managing data or requirements for master data management (MDM) solutions involving the entity resolution of people, organizations or locations.
- Understanding of key MDM concepts and use cases within the public sector.
- Strong knowledge of data governance principles and best practices, including data quality, stewardship, and metadata management.
- Business analysis expertise, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge and experience managing large public sector data integration projects.
- Familiarity with federal, state and local data privacy laws.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical perspectives.
- Experience working in or with public sector organizations, especially in a data management capacity.
- Experience working with data or systems within with New York City agencies.
- Knowledge of enterprise data architecture concepts and integration patterns (e.g., APIs, ETL pipelines).
- Hands-on experience with data governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, or Informatica.
- Understanding of Agile project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Exposure to data ethics frameworks and responsible data use practices
