The Data Cleaning and Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for text data labelling, cleaning, manual testing, and ensuring the high quality of data used to train and/or evaluate large language models (LLMs). This includes identifying and correcting errors, removing invalid data, URLs, and formatting the data in a way that is compatible with the LLM training process. The ideal candidate will have experience with data cleaning, quality assurance, and a strong foundation in Software Engineering.

Responsibilities:

1. Identify and correct errors in text-based data used in LLM training or evaluation (manually and with use of tools).
2. Format data in a way that is compatible with LLM training (manually and with use of tools).
3. Develop and implement data cleaning and quality assurance processes.
4. Work with other engineers and researchers to ensure the quality of data.
5. Perform manual testing by running test cases before model releases.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or a related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in a technical field (engineer, QA, tech writer, program or product manager).
3. 1+ years of experience with data cleaning and quality assurance is a plus.
4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Fluency in English.
