Phoenix Tailings is a rapidly growing clean mining and metals production startup dedicated to sustainable and economic critical metals production. They are seeking a driven, innovative Data Analyst for their Leadership Development Program, which aims to immerse individuals in chemical process development and prepare them for future leadership roles within the company.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and synthesize data across R&D, operations, and supply chain to support strategic business decisions
• Build data pipelines and dashboards to monitor critical metrics across our clean metal production workflows
• Identify inefficiencies or opportunities for process improvement using data-driven insights
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists to model and interpret experimental results
• Leverage statistical tools and machine learning models to forecast demand, optimize inputs, or detect anomalies
• Assist in developing and standardizing data governance and documentation practices
• Present actionable findings to cross-functional teams and executive leadership
• Support the integration of new tools and analytics platforms to enhance business intelligence capabilities

Qualification

Required

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Solid foundation in statistical analysis and problem-solving
• Passion for sustainability, innovation, and clean technology
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
