Team Overview
We are a team of engaged, data-curious professionals who continuously seek new and improved ways to learn from our extensive data assets. We share ideas, code, outcomes, and credit for our collective efforts. We're looking for explorative, independent data scientists to grow with us as we tackle ever-changing challenges.
Position Overview
As a member of the Annalect data science team, you will assist with the continued development of our consumer datasets and audience insights capabilities. You will become an SME on all of our core datasets from beginning to end. This entails understanding data contents, data processing decisions, analytical use cases, and end user support needs. You will standardize and document best practices and provide practical guidance to data scientists to optimize their data usage. You will work closely with client teams and other data science teams to rapidly develop and execute meaningful business solutions leveraging our data assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Document and communicate the components, processes, and supported capabilities of our consumer data solution
- Respond to client requests for analytical support by translating the business question into an analytics plan, rapidly implementing the workflow, and flexibly delivering results in an appropriate format
- Advise data science teams on methodologies and data best practices across various client use cases
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and answer internal and external questions about our data assets and capabilities
- 2+ years of relevant experience with consumer-level data
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, engineering, information management, social sciences, or business/marketing related fields. Advanced quantitative degree or intensive bootcamp experience is preferred.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to pivot quickly and respond to urgent tasks efficiently
- Ability to interpret business requests and make methodological decisions independently
- Ability to provide practical recommendations for analytical workflows to technical users
- Ability to provide actionable recommendations for analytical outputs to non-technical users
- Hands-on expertise in SQL, Python, and database technology including AWS (preferred)
Perks Of Working At Annalect
- Culture! We have an incredibly fun, collaborative environment that encourages engagement and work/life balance
- Generous PTO that includes vacation days, personal days, a fantastic Summer Friday program and extended time off around the holiday season.
- As part of Omnicom, we have the backing and resources of a global billion-dollar company, but also have the flexibility and pace of a “startup” - we move fast, break things, and innovate.
Compensation Range
$50,000—$115,000 USD
This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
