Job Description

The University of Notre Dame Graduate School plays a crucial role in supporting graduate programs and ensuring that Notre Dame graduate students become a force for good in the world. We seek a driven, creative, and collaborative individual to help achieve the university's mission and vision in advancing graduate studies.

Reporting to the Program Manager for Assessment, Data Analytics, and Strategic Initiatives, the Data and Systems Analyst will support the Graduate School's data strategy and streamline systems workflows to enhance operations. The role involves building partnerships across the Graduate School and with academic departments.

The primary focus areas include:

• Support of the Graduate School’s Data Strategy initiative:
• Building reliable data pipelines within a secure framework, primarily using Tableau Prep Builder
• Designing reports and dashboards in Tableau for decision-making
• Automating data collection with tools like Qualtrics and Slate
• Creating documentation and training materials for reports and dashboards
• Managing projects related to the Data Strategy initiative
• Special projects related to the Graduate School’s CRM system (Slate):
• CRM enhancements: form and workflow development, portal creation, communication templates
• Data validation and integration: auditing data quality and ensuring consistency between Slate and the Student Information System (SIS)

Please note: This is a fully on-campus position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2-3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or systems support
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Technical proficiencies include:
• Data analysis & visualization (Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python, R)
• Experience with Slate or similar CRM systems
• Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in a related field
• Project management experience
• Basic video editing skills for training videos
