Superintendent – Houston, TX
General Contractor | Ground-Up Commercial Construction
We are representing a reputable General Contractor in Houston who specialize in delivering high-quality ground-up commercial projects across the K-12, Religious, Industrial, and Medical sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all day-to-day site operations from groundbreaking through final completion.
- Lead subcontractor coordination, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to specification.
- Develop and maintain the project schedule, sequencing trades and adjusting plans to meet milestones.
- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with plans and specifications.
- Implement and enforce OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
- Maintain effective communication with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, and Inspectors.
- Oversee material deliveries, equipment usage, and site logistics to maximize efficiency.
- Manage site documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and safety records.
- Resolve on-site issues quickly and effectively to keep the project moving forward.
- Mentor and support assistant superintendents, field engineers, and site staff.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Superintendent on ground-up commercial projects.
- Background must be commercial construction only – multi-family or residential experience will not be considered.
- OSHA 30 certification is strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
