Position Title: Construction Project Manager

Reports To: Director of Operations

Location: 112 NE 12 th Street, Ocala, FL 34470

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all phases of construction projects, typically ranging from $1 million to $40 million. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Preconstruction

Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and work plans.

- Collaborate with estimators during the bidding and preconstruction process.

- Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure full understanding of requirements.

Project Execution & Management

- Lead all phases of construction, including site mobilization, construction, and closeout. 

  • Oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and management.

- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to resolve design and field issues.

- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

- Track and manage project costs, schedule performance, and change orders.

Financial Management

  • Monitor budgets and provide accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Approve invoices, payment applications, and manage cost controls.
  • Identify and mitigate risks impacting profitability and timelines.

Team Leadership

- Supervise project engineers, assistant project managers, and field staff.

- Foster a collaborative team environment focused on accountability and continuous improvement.

- Mentor junior staff and support career development.

Client & Stakeholder Relations

- Serve as primary point of contact with owners, developers, and clients.

- Provide regular project updates and manage client expectations.

- Build long-term relationships to promote repeat business opportunities.

Closeout

- Manage project punch lists, warranty documentation, and final turnover.

- Ensure successful project handoff and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing.

- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Foundation).

- Solid financial and contract management skills.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation abilities.

- OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training (preferred).
