X4 Engineering is hiring: P6 Scheduler - Commercial Construction in Charlotte

I’m partnered with a leading General Contractor in Charlotte, NC, that specializes in large-scale commercial construction projects . They are seeking an experienced P6 Scheduler with a strong general contracting background to join their growing team.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting chance to work with a top-ranked GC delivering high-profile projects across healthcare, higher education, mixed-use, corporate office, and other commercial sectors. As a P6 Scheduler , you’ll play a critical role in building and maintaining detailed project schedules, ensuring accurate forecasting, and supporting project teams with clear, data-driven insights.

What You’ll Do

• Develop, update, and manage project schedules in Primavera P6 for commercial construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and stakeholders to track progress, analyze risks, and provide accurate schedule updates.
• Review project documents, contracts, and subcontractor schedules to ensure alignment with the master schedule.
• Monitor milestones, critical paths, and potential delays, providing proactive recommendations to keep projects on track.
• Prepare and present schedule reports for internal and client-facing meetings.
• Support project teams with time impact analyses and recovery planning as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• 5–10 years’ experience in scheduling with a general contractor .
• Proven expertise with Primavera P6 in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, project management processes, and critical path methodology.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with field and office teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
