Currie & Brown is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a strong background in managing projects within the pharmaceutical or laboratory environments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities for a successful candidate:
- Manage all aspects of construction projects within the pharmaceutical and laboratory sectors, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or delays promptly.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for pharmaceutical and laboratory construction projects.
- Oversee quality control and safety measures on construction sites, implementing best practices to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide regular project updates to clients and stakeholders, addressing any concerns and maintaining strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying opportunities for cost savings or efficiencies.
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring clear communication among team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, ideally with a focus on pharmaceutical or laboratory projects.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards for pharmaceutical and laboratory construction.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or Procore.
Preferred Requirements:
- PMP Certification
- Knowledge of local US industry standards, building codes and safety standards.
