The Royal Group (TRG) currently has a position open for a Sales Representative in Columbus area/Ohio Region. The Sales Representative is responsible for the prospecting, selling, and servicing of profitable accounts.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
- Making sales and/or obtaining orders or contracts for services from customers.
- Customarily and regularly engaged in performing duties away from employer’s place or places of business.
- Improve skills by enrolling in seminars, technical courses, and related college courses.
- Service existing accounts through regular contact
- Knowledge of products, machine limitations and costing variables
- Follow up on customer specifications regarding particular orders
- Process all required paperwork timely
- Maintain aged inventory 60 days+ in compliance with sales team objectives
- Assist in preparing annual sales budget forecasts
- Knowledge of and comfort using Windows and MS office
- Implement, maintain, and support all company policies and procedures, including safety programs and good housekeeping
- Work with sales manager in coordinating and determining feasibility for new projects
- Work with Estimating department on new opportunities
- Work with Design department to develop customer solutions
- Work with Sales team to strategize sales growth
- Traveling required.
- Additional duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- High school graduate or equivalent with related college education or heavy college coursework
- Preferred that employees have prior work experience in the corrugated industry or other 2-4 years’ work experience and knowledge of corrugated production and converting machinery
- Valid driver’s license, safe driving record and ability to drive; able to unload and load samples from vehicle
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, costs, profits, proportions, percentages, and volume.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Excellent communication skills with customers and employees. Ability to speak effectively to employees, managers, customers, etc.; ability to lead meeting competently and answer questions. Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales reports, operating instructions, and training and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports, emails, and correspondence clearly and effectively.
REASONABLE ABILITY:
- Ability to apply proper understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to solve a variety of problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information or standardization exists.
