Sales Representative Overview

As our Walsworth Educational Outside Sales Representative in the Denver, Colorado area, you'll work alongside school yearbook staffs providing journalistic advice, creative guidance, critique, as well as technical training and support. You'll serve as a mentor to students and teachers, and act as a project manager to ensure the success of each publication. Your efforts will directly impact the quality of each school's yearbook and the overall program.

You will manage an existing portfolio of accounts, supporting and growing these relationships. Your role includes providing hands-on assistance with deadlines, budgets, team building, and marketing challenges. Customers will rely on you for training, guidance, and troubleshooting in areas such as photography, design, revenue generation, and staff management.

In addition to supporting existing clients, you'll prospect and sell to new schools in the surrounding area, offering them partnership opportunities with Walsworth for their next yearbook. This role offers a unique blend of creative, educational, and sales responsibilities, along with earning and growth opportunities.

Compensation and Benefits

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales quotas
  • Support customers throughout the yearbook production process
  • Prospect for new accounts and expand market share
  • Advise on photography, design, journalism, technology, and marketing
  • Engage and teach students in classroom settings
  • Ensure schools stay on schedule with deadlines and budgets
  • Coordinate with schools and production teams to keep projects on track
  • Travel daily within the territory to schools, with minimal overnight stays
  • Maintain organized customer records
  • Collaborate on training workshops and seminars for schools
