The HerStory Gallery is an exhibition of wearable art made by women around the globe. The company seeks someone ready to become the face of HerStory by engaging customers and making them feel a part of the HerStory community by showcasing the stories behind each brand and ethical products.

Responsibilities

1. Greets customers and makes them feel comfortable and excited to experience the Gallery
2. Interacts with customers, offering assistance and responding to queries about products and purchases
3. Provides recommendations according to customer needs or preferences
4. Locates merchandise for customers and places orders, where necessary
5. Introduces promotions and new products to customers
6. Operates Shopify POS system and handles payments and credit card processing
7. Handles refunds, exchanges and returns
8. Documents sales by updating customer records
9. Stays up to date with sales trends for better service and achievement of sales
10. Alerts the management of potential security issues
11. Assist with Gallery events and pop-ups

Education and Experience Requirements

1. High school diploma
2. At least one year working in the service or retail industry preferred

5. Ability to stand for extended periods
6. Ability to lift merchandise weighing up to 20 pounds
7. Basic math and accounting skills

1. Experience operating point-of-sale (POS) transactions on Shopify
2. Critical thinking, evaluation and analytical skills
3. Record of meeting and exceeding sales goals

This is a part-time, on-site position in Dallas, TX.
