Senior Project Manager - Commercial Construction
Location: Charleston, SC
Salary: Up to $130,000 + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits
A leading General Contractor in the Charleston market is seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of high-value commercial construction projects.
This role involves working on a range of commercial construction projects including Retail, Storage, Multi-Family, Warehouse & Distribution, Federal & Military, Hospitality, and Commercial. Project sizes range from $30-$100M.
We are looking for a dedicated and results-driven Project Manager with a passion for delivering complex projects to the highest standard. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale projects from inception to completion, with at least 7-15 years of experience as a Project Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of construction projects, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality targets.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Ensure all project activities comply with contractual obligations and specifications.
- Identify and manage potential risks, resolving issues as they arise to keep projects on track.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, progress reports, and change orders.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including clients and senior management.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of large-scale commercial construction projects.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Procore, MS Project, or similar software.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards.
- Experience working in high-pressure environments and delivering results.
- PMP certification is a plus but not required.
