Company Overview:

We partnered with a well-established general contractor specializing in asphalt paving, concrete paving, bridge construction, grading, and drainage. They're committed to delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across medium to large-scale public and private sectors.
Position Summary:

We're seeking an experienced Project Manager/Estimator to lead and support civil construction projects from bid to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy highway construction, proficiency in HeavyBid software, and a proven track record managing complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals using HeavyBid
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources from pre-construction through closeout
  • Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams
  • Review plans, specifications, and contract documents
  • Conduct site visits and assessments for accurate estimating
  • Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and change orders
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy highway/civil construction project management and estimating
  • Proficiency in HeavyBid and other construction management software
  • Strong understanding of KDOT & InDot standards, specifications, and permitting processes
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed
