Job Title - Senior Project Manager Location - Austin, TX | Denver, CO (Centennial) |or Remote Job Type – Hybrid, Onsite, Remote Stanley Consultants is seeking a Senior Project Manager with industrial building and energy experience, for one of our offices in Austin, Denver (Centennial), or Remote. This includes managing all activities related to large generation projects such as: project scope, schedule, cost/budget, quality, communications, resources, procurement, and risk elements to optimize client service, quality, and financial performance on large, complex, and challenging projects. What You Will Be Doing
- Lead the planning and implementation of medium to large multiple discipline engineering projects with various stake holders ranging in complexity and utilizing resources from multiple office locations
- Support business development by participating in project scoping, fee development, proposal preparation, interviews, negotiations, and contract development
- Review assigned project(s) after award to define project scope, determine work procedures/sequences and develops schedules, budgets, staffing, vendor lists and progress billing points
- Form a project team and see that responsibilities are assigned, and the execution of tasks are begun and completed according to schedule
- Submit documents to federal, state, and local authorities for code compliance review and obtains permits required
- Meet with client management as necessary during the term of a project to resolve issues and to obtain approvals at the project’s completion
- Maintain a continuing business relationship with clients as part of ongoing business development efforts
- Plan, organize, communicate, and coordinate project engagements
- Manage the day-to-day activities of project engagements including Clients and the various Project Stakeholders
- Prepare project opening orders, project outlines, project initiation, project schedules, project executions, and project closings
- Achieve project objectives including quality/scopes, budgets, and schedules
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive Project Records
- Achieve project performance metrics established for the engagement (i.e. target margins, revenue, multiplier, etc.)
- Analyze project performance, resource utilization, profitability, margins, and revenues
- Identify potential out of scope work. Manage and negotiate contract change orders
- Identify and manage project risk from the proposal phase through the duration of the project
- Has fundamental understanding of key commercial elements associated with Energy projects
- Train, mentor, and oversee other Project Managers and conducts/participates in portfolio and project reviews
- Bachelors of Science in engineering, construction management, or business from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 20+ years of increasing experience in the Energy Engineering Industry with a minimum of 20 years in project management
- Experience in Thermal Generation projects such as Gas Turbine and Reciprocating Engines
- Firm understanding of financial management
- Demonstrated capabilities and success in managing large multi-discipline programs, projects, multi-office projects, and/or multiple projects
- Outstanding time management skills
- Master of Business Administration-MBA
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification
