Introduction

We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee and deliver high-performance commercial concrete projects.

This role demands an elite professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, manages with precision, and exemplifies servant-leadership while driving tilt-up and flatwork projects to successful completion. The Project Manager will serve as the central point of coordination between clients, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and executive leadership to ensure projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to GCM’s exacting standards of quality.

Key Result Areas (KRAs)

Project Planning & Pre-Construction

· Lead tilt-wall and flatwork project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.

· Collaborate with estimators, pre-construction staff, and field teams to validate constructability and prepare detailed work plans.

· Develop and maintain CPM schedules using Procore, Primavera, or equivalent tools.

Project Execution & Leadership

· Directly manage field operations in coordination with superintendents and foremen.

· Oversee all phases of tilt-wall construction including panel casting, bracing, erection, and integration with foundations and slabs.

· Ensure large-scale flatwork projects (industrial slabs, distribution centers, parking structures, etc.) meet contract requirements and company standards.

· Anticipate and resolve challenges proactively, maintaining positive momentum on-site.

Financial & Contract Management

· Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost-to-complete reporting.

· Prepare and process change orders, RFIs, and submittals in compliance with company policies.

· Oversee vendor relationship management, ensuring alignment with GCM quality, safety, and financial standards.

Client, Vendor & Subcontractor Relations

· Serve as the client’s primary point of contact for assigned projects.

· Foster strong working relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors.

· Negotiate vendor agreements and ensure subcontractor performance meets contract terms.

Safety & Quality Assurance

· Promote and enforce GCM’s culture of safety and compliance with OSHA standards.

· Oversee quality control, tilt-wall panel testing, slab tolerances, and adherence to ACI and TCA guidelines.

· Implement corrective action plans when deviations occur.

Reporting & Communication

· Conduct regular project meetings and prepare progress reports.

· Provide leadership updates on project status, risks, and opportunities.

· Maintain detailed project records within Procore.

Qualifications

· Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent and relevant commercial concrete project management experience strongly considered.

· Experience: 5+ years of proven project management experience in tilt-wall construction and large-scale flatwork.

Technical Skills:

· - Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Primavera P6, Viewpoint Vista, MS Project).

· - Strong understanding of tilt-wall methods, flatwork placement/finishing, and concrete mix designs.

· - Financial acumen in project cost control and forecasting.

Leadership Skills:

· - Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.

· - Ability to lead diverse teams with accountability and respect.

· - Demonstrated servant-leadership mindset.

Preferred Candidate Profile

· Have direct experience managing mid- to large-scale commercial concrete projects (industrial warehouses, distribution centers, multi-story tilt-wall buildings, and expansive flatwork installations).

· Be familiar with Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) practices and American Concrete Institute (ACI) standards.

· Demonstrate expertise in coordinating high-volume pours, heavy equipment logistics (cranes, pump trucks, laser screeds), and large crew scheduling.

· Excel at balancing speed, safety, and quality on projects with tight schedules and demanding tolerances.

· Show a proven ability to drive vendor and subcontractor accountability while maintaining strong client relationships.

· Possess a track record of delivering projects exceeding $3M+ in concrete scope.
