Position Overview The Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing engineering team focused on process improvement, new product introduction, automation, and advanced manufacturing methodologies. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic vision with day-to-day technical execution, ensuring that all engineering programs meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
Partner with operations, quality, and program management teams to align engineering strategies with business objectives.
Engineering Execution
Oversee all aspects of process engineering, manufacturing engineering, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
Ensure seamless new product introductions (NPI) into production with robust processes and risk mitigation strategies.
Drive the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies including automation, robotics, and digital manufacturing systems.
Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and data-driven decision-making.
Improve equipment utilization, reduce cycle times, and optimize workflows to meet efficiency and cost targets.
Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO9001, ITAR, and other industry/regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with program managers, supply chain, quality, and production teams to meet customer requirements.
Provide technical guidance to support business development and customer engagement.
Serve as a technical liaison for customer audits, presentations, and new business opportunities.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
~10+ years of engineering experience in aerospace, defense, semiconductor, or high-precision manufacturing environments.
~5+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.
~ Strong background in manufacturing process development, CNC machining, automation, and advanced manufacturing techniques.
~ Expertise with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
