Job Summary

The Junior Project Manager plays a key support role within the Project Services team, assisting the Senior Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and delivering client projects on time and within scope. This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who is eager to learn project management fundamentals while contributing to the success of client-facing solutions, including events, speaker bureau programs, and other customized services.

The Junior Project Manager will focus on administrative and coordination responsibilities, supporting project planning, timeline tracking, and stakeholder communications to ensure seamless execution.


Job Responsibilities

· Project Coordination & Support: Assist the Senior Project Manager with project planning, scheduling, and milestone tracking to ensure accurate and timely updates across all project phases.

· Client & Stakeholder Support: Support the preparation of client-facing materials such as status reports, meeting summaries, and project timelines while assisting in managing communications between clients, vendors, and internal teams.

· Budget & Administrative Assistance: Track project expenses, assist with budget reconciliation tasks, and prepare documentation for vendor invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders.

· Logistics Coordination: Support travel and event logistics, including scheduling, booking accommodations, and coordinating event materials for both in-person and virtual events.

· Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal project teams, sharing updates and supporting effective communication to ensure project deliverables remain on track.

· Documentation & Reporting: Maintain organized project documentation, meeting notes, and action item trackers to ensure accurate version control and easy team access.

Requirements:

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

· Education: College diploma or university degree in Event Planning, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field.

· Experience: 1–2 years in a project coordination, event planning, or administrative support role (agency or corporate environment preferred).

· Project Management Fundamentals: Basic understanding of project management principles and willingness to grow skills in this area.

· Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with attention to detail and professionalism.

· Organization & Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with project management tools like Monday.com or event software (Cvent, Certify) an asset.

· Team Player: Collaborative mindset with a proactive, problem-solving attitude and willingness to learn from senior team members.
