Position SummaryThe Assistant Construction Project Manager supports the Construction Project Manager in overseeing projects from initiation to completion. This role provides critical support in scheduling, documentation, quality control, and coordination with clients, contractors, and internal teams. It is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with construction experience who is looking to grow into a Project Manager role.
ResponsibilitiesAssist the Project Manager in overseeing multiple projects from start to finish.
Support scheduling, project documentation, invoices, and submittal tracking.
Help ensure all work is performed in compliance with procedures, manuals, and contract documents.
Conduct site visits and provide support for on-site quality control checks.
Assist in monitoring project progress and report updates to the Project Manager.
Coordinate communications between clients, contractors, and internal staff.
Attend client and project meetings as needed, documenting discussions and follow-ups.
Assist in identifying and resolving project issues to maintain schedules and budgets.
Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in construction project coordination, supervision, or related role.
Experience in the petroleum pump and tank industry preferred, but not required.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.); Microsoft Project experience a plus.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with field crews, office staff, and clients.
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong teamwork skills.
Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Travel to out-of-town job sites as needed.
