Job Description
As a Project Manager reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will join our North American team to support ongoing customer projects and programs. Your role involves close collaboration with sales and operations to meet the detailed and complex needs of customers. You will serve as the primary point of contact for these customers, using your expertise to track all projects and coordinate with internal teams. You are expected to be familiar with all project phases and to help ensure internal activities run efficiently.
The ideal candidate will use an organized and detailed approach to track and communicate all project activity effectively. You should have a proven ability to work with both internal teams and customers to ensure the timely and effective execution of construction and retrofit projects.
Compensation: $76,000 - $120,400 DOE
Location: Cedar Rapids , IA - Remote with 35% travel
Schedule: Mon – Fri, Standard
Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Outlines the requirements or tasks involved in the project, delegates, and tracks accordingly.
- Acts as a liaison between company, program customers, integrated 3rd parties, and potentially, vendors.
- Assist our customers with configuration and setup of hardware and software.
- Assess and escalate customer feedback, as required. As new customer requirements arise, provide evaluation and assessment in relation to current or historical needs.
- Conducts risk assessments as any technical or logistical issues arise; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk.
- Conducts cost and profit analysis, supporting the finance and management team with reporting related to designated program customers.
- Work well in a customer-facing position in a team environment
- Travel up to 35%.
- Must be based in the Cedar Rapids region or in a nearby location that allows for in-person availability.
Technical Project Manager Requirements:
- College degree or technical diploma.
- Knowledge and experience in typical mission critical and industrial customer electrical applications; Experience with product portfolio and metering applications (or similar).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maximize internal tools for collaboration.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with end customers.
- Ability to communicate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Technical Project Manager **PREFERRED Requirements:
- Experience working with end users in various market segments and environments.
- Experience navigating internal company teams and business units to achieve a maximum positive and efficient result for the assigned customers.
