Position Overview
Our client, a well-established electrical contractor in the Virginia/DC area, is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee commercial electrical projects from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial electrical systems, estimating, scheduling, and budget management, with proven success in delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all phases of commercial electrical projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
Prepare project schedules, track progress, and ensure milestones are met.
Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts to confirm scope of work.
Collaborate with superintendents, field teams, general contractors, and engineers to resolve issues and keep projects on track.
Oversee procurement of materials and subcontractor coordination.
Monitor job costs, prepare change orders, and ensure profitability of projects.
Provide regular updates, reporting, and documentation to senior management and clients.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations.
Qualifications
5+ years of project management experience in commercial electrical construction.
Strong knowledge of NEC codes, electrical systems, and construction processes.
Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Experience with project management software and tools.
Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred but not required.
OSHA certification a plus.
