Position Summary: The Accountant maintain and improve upon financial analysis procedures and schedules, ensure data integrity and that financial information is presented accurately and results are issued in a timely manner. What you will do in this role:
Accountant is more experienced (min 1+ years with CPA designation or 3+ years with no CPA designation) and well-trained person who works on financial accounting and managerial accounting tasks, including assessment of internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas. Qualifications Qualifications:
- Actively participate in the financial month-end close and budgeting process
- Own Marketing and Distribution Centers accounting for and recording transactions and reporting back to business owners/channel heads
- Ownership and maintenance of general ledger and journal entries
- Extensive P&L and Balance Sheet variance analysis and reporting
- Perform product line and customer profitability analysis
- Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet on a monthly basis
- Maintain and improve upon existing dashboards
- Perform ad hoc analysis of accounting transactions, operational performance, and general ledger accounts
- Perform accrual accounting for vendor debits
- Assist with internal control initiatives, policies and procedures
- Assist with annual budget and year-end external statutory audits

Qualifications Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA designation with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience OR at least 3 years of progressive accounting experience without CPA
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Hands-on experience with general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close
- Proficient in preparing and analyzing P&L statements and balance sheet reconciliations
- Demonstrated ability to perform detailed financial analysis, including product line and customer profitability
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial dashboards and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting external audits and assessing internal controls is preferred
