About the role

Are you passionate about numbers and precision? As an Accountant at our company, you'll be at the heart of our financial engine-driving accuracy, insight, and compliance. From managing the general ledger to crafting financial reports and ensuring airtight account reconciliations, you'll play a vital role in keeping our financial operations sharp, compliant, and future-ready. What you'll do

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting documentation.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support job cost accounting and project tracking.
• Assist Controller with sales tax exemption process for non-profit projects.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
• Assist with audits and provide requested schedules and information to auditors.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial alignment.
• Assist in developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies.
• Perform other accounting-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2-3 years of experience in public accounting; construction industry experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with Viewpoint Accounting software is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with high attention to detail
• Ability to operate basic office equipment including computer, printer, copier, fax, scanner, adding machine, telephone, and phone
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, at least eight hours per day, five days per week between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
