Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accountant in Cromwell, CT. This role supports the month-end close and cash reconciliation processes by preparing journal entries, analyzing account fluctuations, and ensuring accurate financial records. Responsibilities include:

• Accountant will prepare journal entries, accruals, and account analyses for monthly close
• Perform flux reviews and support audit schedules and reporting
• Reconcile daily and monthly cash activity, resolving deposit and receipt discrepancies
• Collaborate with branch locations and banking partners to address variances
• As an Accountant, you will maintain documentation and post correcting entries as needed
• Assist with ad hoc projects and process improvements
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with field teams and internal departments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., basic formulas, sorting, filtering; XLOOKUP and pivot tables a plus)
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
