Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a fast-growing wealth advisory firm to find its next Senior Staff Accountant in Lewes, DE.


The Role

As part of a collaborative Tax & Consulting team, this role involves delivering tax and consulting services, as well as specialized financial planning. The Senior Accountant will assist the team and wealth advisors with a comprehensive process that addresses all areas of a clients tax planning and wealth management needs.


What Youll Do


  • Tax:
  • Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and fiduciaries.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, tax staff, advisors, and senior management.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships by providing excellent service.
  • Become a point person for clients by taking on increasing responsibility.
  • Master various software used for tax, paperless documents, and workflow.
  • Research complex tax issues.
  • Business Services:
  • Assist with the preparation and review of monthly financial statements, including payroll and journal entries.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of various quarterly and annual compliance reports.
  • Financial Planning:
  • Gather and organize client financial data.
  • Prepare various tax and financial planning analyses (e.g., tax, Social Security, and pension).


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field.
  • 25 years of experience in tax preparation.
  • Pursuing or holding an active CPA or EA license.
  • CFP or Series 65 certification a plus (or interest in obtaining).
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and tax analysis software is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset.

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $78k-$105k.
