About The Operational Finance Team
The Operational Finance Team is responsible for a variety of tasks that are instrumental in keeping the business running on a day-to-day basis. There are four teams within the Operational Finance Function: Accounting and Accounts Payable, Billing, Collection, and Payroll. The Deal Desk Team reviews quotes and ensures deals are processed in line with policies. The teams are primarily split between the Bay Area (California) and Barcelona, with 1 team member in APAC and the UK. Ideally, we would like this person to be on CST or EST.

About The Role
As an Accountant you'll be assisting the accounting team in creating accurate and timely financial statements and records for the Company. An effective staff accountant must have a high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and time management. They must be able to independently manage deadlines and recurring tasks with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and recording journal entries for various expense and balance sheet accounts (monthly accruals, reclass entries, depreciation).
  • Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet accounts (liability and/or fixed asset accounts).
  • Reviewing and approving invoices, purchase orders, or expense reports for proper coding and compliance.
  • Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities for assigned areas.
  • Analyzing and reporting on financial trends month over month for assigned line items.
  • Assisting with special projects and supporting annual audit requests.
  • Streamlining workbooks and processes where applicable.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Moderate to Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with NetSuite or Oracle
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in a changing environment
  • Demonstrated the highest level of integrity in all situations
  • Strong analytical skills and a self-starter

Bonus Points For

  • Navan or Corpay experience

Compensation

The listed amount is the total target cash compensation (TTCC) and includes base and variable compensation. This position is also eligible for equity and other benefits including medical, vision, and dental insurance. You can view our benefits offerings here.

Our salary ranges are benchmarked to the SF Bay Area technology data and reflect minimum to maximum TTCC for new hire salaries across US locations. Ranges may change as market conditions evolve. Individual pay is determined by experience and qualifications. If you have questions about the range, your recruiter can share details.

Mixpanel Compensation Range
$119,500—$146,000 USD
